James A. Dryden, DDS
Dr. James Dryden graduated from UMKC School of Dentistry in 1966. He entered the US Army Dental Corps in June 1966, where he served at Ft. Sam Houston, Ft. Wolters, both in TX, Republic of South Vietnam, 1967-68. He received the Army Commendation medal and Combat Medics Badge. Dr. Dryden spent 6 months at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO.
He finished his residency in Endodontics at UMKC in 1972. He was certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics in 1978. Dr. Dryden practiced in Joplin, MO until September 1993 and then moved to Tulsa and practiced there until 2000. He taught full time at UMKC School of Dentistry from 2000 to 2011. He served as Chair of the Department of Endodontics from 2001-2011. Before joining Joplin Endodontics, he owned and practiced at Southwest Missouri Endodontics from 2011 to 2016.
When Dr. Dryden is not practicing, he enjoys spending time with his family and being a Deacon in his church.
